Full-Time

Policy Associate

The Scholars Strategy Network (SSN) seeks a Policy Associate to coordinate the Education Scholars Training Program (ESTP) and contribute to the success of SSN’s overall policy program. The ESTP is a program that helps a diverse cohort of scholars who study education build relationships with policymakers and transform education policy in the United States. The Policy Associate is a full-time position with an annual salary hiring range between $56,000-$64,000, based on qualifications and experience. This is a fully remote position with the option to work in person in SSN’s Boston office. This position reports to SSN’s Director of Policy and is part of the SSN employee union.

Part-Time

Chapter Organizing Intern/Fellow

The Scholars Strategy Network (SSN) is looking for a paid part-time Chapter Organizing Intern (or Fellow if the applicant is a graduate student). The Chapter Organizing Intern, who reports to SSN’s Director of Chapter Development, will be responsible for supporting the team in overseeing SSN’s nearly 40 existing and emerging regional chapters as they work to build communities of publicly engaged scholars and inform local policy. The Chapter Organizing Intern is a flexible part-time position with an hourly wage between $16-$19 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, with an ideal start date of September 3, 2024 and continuing through the full academic semester (mid-December), with the possibility of extension to June 2025. This is a fully remote position with the option to work in person in SSN’s Boston office.

Policy Intern/Fellow

The Scholars Strategy Network (SSN) is looking for a paid part-time Policy Intern (or Fellow if the applicant is a graduate student). The Policy Intern, who reports to SSN’s Senior Policy Associate, will be responsible for supporting the team’s everyday work of helping a broad array of scholars convey their research to policymakers and the public in ways that can improve policy and strengthen democracy. The Policy Intern is a flexible part-time position with an hourly wage between $16-$19 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, with an ideal start date of mid-August through the beginning of September and continuing through the full academic semester (mid-December), with the possibility of extension to June 2025. This is a fully remote position with the option to work in person in SSN’s Boston office.
