About Stacey

Livingstone's research focuses on homelessness and housing. Overarching themes in Livingstone's writing include the connections between homelessness, policy, and health and housing and health. Livingstone is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Homelessness Hub at UC San Diego. Livingstone has served as the graduate fellow for Scholars Strategy Network San Diego Chapter and will participate in an honorary cohort of early career public scholars through the California Research Bureau this upcoming year.

"Translating Student Voices Into Action: A Call for Equitable Teaching Practices Amidst Growing Basic Needs Challenges" (with Julia Adrian & Erilynn Heinrichsen). Transformative Dialogues: Teaching and Learning Journal 15, no. 3 (2023).

Reviews the widespread basic needs challenges experienced by university students one year into the COVID-19 pandemic, and explores the disproportionate impact on certain student groups. Discusses the effective instructional practices that students themselves find helpful for building their resilience and maintaining academic success.
