Dixon’s research focuses on race/ethnicity, colorism, inequality, and racial health inequities. Overarching themes in Dixon’s writings include the prevalence and consequences of self-reported color and class discrimination, global and comparative perspectives on colorism, and the impact of racial inequities in mortality across the life course and intergenerationally.
