About Becky
Dr. Ofrane’s teaching and research focuses on systemic drivers of reproductive and maternal health disparities, experiences and outcomes; workforce development for doulas and community-based perinatal providers; and public health pedagogy. Dr. Ofrane was the 2024 recipient of the Effective Practice Award from the American Public Health Association Maternal and Child Health Section, and is the Program Director of Montclair's Maternal and Child Health-Public Health Catalyst Program, with 5-year funding from HRSA. She is also a full-spectrum doula, and brings that personal lens to her teaching and research.
