Vesselinov's research focuses on urban inequality. Overarching themes in Vesselinov's writings include economically diverse neighborhoods, residential segregation, gated communities, educational inequalities and data analytics. Vesselinov is particularly interested in remedies to urban inequality through the coordination of housing, education and health policies.
