Julaine Fowlin

Fowlin is Executive Director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. Her research focuses on education reform, AI integration including AI agency and augmentation, systems thinking and change, higher education leadership, and embodied learning and distributed cognition. Overarching themes in Fowlin's work include adopting mindsets and ways of thinking that lead to lasting change in behavior and systems, identifying barriers to achieving educational outcomes, and making pedagogical innovation accessible for faculty and organizational leaders. Fowlin serves as a parent advocate working closely with various school districts, is affiliated with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and serves as a mentor for the AAC&U Institute on AI, Pedagogy.
