Kaustav Shah

Dr. Shah s an internist at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia and a fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania. During his NCSP fellowship, he is interested in studying how health care professionals interact with electronic health records. He aims to investigate how emerging informatics tools powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning can be leveraged to drive quality improvement while also promoting physician and nurse wellness. He also plans to develop pathways that ensure these tools are developed with diverse patient data and that they do not propagate existing biases or inequities.
