About Matthew

Weber's research examines the role of news media in society, with a focus on understanding how changes to news media production are impacting a wide range of societal functions. His recent work examines the changing role of news media in filtering and identifying research that is utilized by policymakers. In addition, Weber looks at the role of news media at the local level, and the impact that declining local news coverage has on civic engagement.
