About Melissa
Brock's research focuses on criminal justice and mental health, and themes in her writing include gender-based violence and prisoner reentry. Brock is pursuing an M.P.A. in Criminal Justice Policy and Administration at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She previously earned an M.A. in Forensic Psychology and Counseling from Saint Elizabeth University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Saint Peter's University. She is a certified Disaster Response Crisis Counselor and a trained facilitator of the American Psychological Association's ACT - Raising Safe Kids program. In addition to working full time in public service and attending class, Brock serves on her local Board of Education.
