Sarah K. Burke

Dr. Burke's research focuses on the relationship between gender equality and peacefulness within international relations. She recently completed a dissertation on the effect of reproductive justice on intrastate peace, stressing the importance of equitable abortion access and chilcare for promoting women's political representation and for cultivating peaceful societies. She has a strong background in activism with human rights groups such as the International Rescue Committee, Amnesty International, and the Consortium for Gender, Security, and Human Rights.
