About Vanita
Naidoo's research focusses on socio spatial qualities of natural and built environment. Using eco feminism, and queer ecologies her scholarship examines the experience of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities in green space. Naidoo is currently working on a study that explores marginalized identities in the National Parks.

Explores student experience of campus green space, examining its connections to race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, welcomeness and housing type. Findings suggest that campus green space reflects broader issues of belonging and wellbeing and should be designed to be more inclusive.
Offers a comparative case study of campus design at two historic Southern universities—UNC Chapel Hill and the University of Georgia—exploring how green spaces influence student wellbeing and belonging.
