About Ana

Ana Rosa Granados joined SSN in May 2023. She is responsible for building bridges between policy experts, civic organizations, and journalists to drive meaningful change at the federal, state, and local levels across the US.


Prior to joining SSN, Ana Rosa served as the Director of Services at Texas Harm Reduction Alliance. In this role, she expanded the harm reduction movement in Texas. She assisted Texan sex workers, LGTBQIA+, and active unhoused drug-user communities seek harm reduction and health services. Over the course of her career, Ana Rosa has worked across a range of advocacy areas, including fair housing, prison reform policy, health, immigration, and homelessness.


In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, Ana Rosa volunteered to provide assistance to migrants in detention centers, helping migrants write testimonies and informing them of their legal rights to seek asylum in order for them to testify in front of a judge. She believes in the system of self-empowerment and emergent strategies to help organize communities together to further practice good movement and policy making. She is an NYC native and has a degree in Philosophy and Political Science and she enjoys relationship-building, painting, and writing
