About Shannon
Shannon Kelly is the Director of Trainings at the Scholars Strategy Network, where she leads the development and delivery of public engagement training programs for academics. In this role, she focuses on enhancing curricula, cultivating external partnerships, and evaluating the efficacy of SSN’s training programs. In her prior role at SSN, Shannon was a Senior Trainings Associate, where she helped develop and lead SSN trainings and co-led the Education Scholars Training Program. Shannon has a PhD in Psychology and an MA in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas. Before joining SSN, she studied neurodevelopmental mechanisms of sensorimotor and cognitive impairments in individuals with autism spectrum disorder. She also completed a fellowship with the Research-to-Policy Collaboration, where she worked with researchers to communicate research findings to congressional offices. Shannon lives in Pasco, Washington with her husband and rescue dog, Attie.
