Yamira Patterson

Yamira currently serves as an Education Policy Intern with Scholars Strategy Network where she supports the Education Scholars Training Program (ETSP).

She recently graduated from Wellesley College with degrees in Economics and Education Studies. At Wellesley, she completed an honors senior thesis on how Title I school leaders navigate equitable decision-making amid fiscal and political uncertainty. She previously worked at the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution as a Research and Project Management Intern. In this role she supported international education and youth development work alongside a collective of NGOs.

Yamira is interested in local education politics in education and equity-based research in education. She aspires to work in education policy administration and research in the future.
