Yunese Amataya

Yunese joined SSN as a Communications Intern in September 2025. In this role, she supports the communications team by creating content across SSN’s social media platforms to highlight scholars’ research. She is currently a junior at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she double majors in Economics and Political Science, with minors in Public Affairs and Global Studies. At school, she writes for the Bruin Political Review and has previously interned for Congressman Ted Lieu’s District Office. She hopes to pursue a career in public policy, particularly in foreign affairs and social justice.
