Among vulnerable populations, Vargas focuses primarily on social inequalities that impact the health and well-being outcomes of racial and ethnic minority communities, with a primary focus on Latino Americans. Vargas also advances the measurement approaches within quantitative methods for the wider field interested in race, ethnicity and health outcomes.
