About Sarah
Burke's research focuses on the relationship between gender equality and peacefulness within international relations. She is currently producing a dissertation on the effect of reproductive justice on intrastate peace, stressing the importance of equitable abortion access and women's political representation for cultivating peaceful societies. She has a strong background in activism with human rights groups such as the International Rescue Committee and Amnesty International, with whom she maintains membership. She is also the Graduate Grant Writing Coordinator for UCI's School of Social Sciences where she advises fellow graduate students on fellowship applications.
