About Akeisha

Akeisha Latch is the Chapter Organizing Fellow at Scholars Strategy Network. On a day to day she supports chapter events and assistance with navigating our network resources.

Akeisha is a recent graduate student from Clark University where she holds a bachelors degree in english literature and a master's degree in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management. In the past year Akeisha worked in policy and anti-hunger efforts as a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow. Under this fellowship she worked for five months in and around Boston neighborhoods, bringing affordable and nutritious foods to households that needed it most.  Then in February of 2023 she transitioned to working in Washington, DC where she supported community-driven policy and practice peer groups, working with those with lives experience and expertise of hunger and poverty.  She also implemented racially equitable and sustainable policies through research and collaboration.

In her spare time Akeisha loves to travel and write short stories and poetry, having published her very own poetry book in 2019 – “A Writer’s Craft: Poems for Various Reasons”.
