Response to teacher flight in Oklahoma, as in other states, has focused on finding warm bodies to fill classrooms, not on teacher quality. As a result, the neediest students are often taught by the least qualified teachers.

The military, k-12 public schools, public universities and colleges, and prisons have been transmogrified into enterprises focused on generating profits for a select few. In many cases, privatization limits accessibility, promotes segregation, increases costs, and reduces quality.
