This week, the House of Representatives is set to vote on the Equality Act - a bill that would significantly expand protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. To provide commentary and analysis on this bill, these experts are available:
"The Equality Act appears to be a broad re-definition of “sex discrimination” to prohibit discrimination against not only women, but gay people, and people with any gender identity or expression. My own research suggests such discrimination against transgender and non-binary people now happens regularly, and would be prohibited under this law. This is sweeping legislation to protect Americans from discrimination."
