About the chapter
New Orleans SSN launched in 2013 to build more connections between local scholars, civic leaders, policymakers, and journalists. Our members are particularly interested in the issues that are at the forefront of ongoing debates in the community: gender and sexuality, diversity and inclusion, education, crime and punishment, the environment, and persistent inequalities. Our members are associated with several regional universities.
